Start with a public link
Copy the address from the original public post rather than from a private message, account dashboard, or temporary preview. YT3 checks the address, identifies the platform, and sends a preparation request to the configured download service. You can use the public downloader without creating a customer account.
Choose a useful format
Video mode requests a file containing both picture and sound. Audio mode is intended for material you are permitted to save as audio. The quality menu expresses a preference, not a promise: the source platform may only provide lower resolutions, and a higher setting cannot create detail that is absent from the original upload.
Why a request may fail
Private posts, deleted media, age-restricted material, expiring share links, regional restrictions, or platform login challenges can prevent processing. Registration with YT3 does not bypass those platform restrictions. When a public link fails, open it in a private browser window first and confirm that it plays without signing in.
Free and Premium access
Standard public downloads do not require registration. Customer accounts are used for purchases and Premium options such as advanced audio choices and high-resolution requests. Premium access does not grant ownership of media or permission to bypass platform controls.
