Do free users need an account?
No. Standard downloads from supported public links can be prepared without registration. Registration is for customers who purchase Premium access or want to manage an existing customer account.
Why did I receive a cookie or login error?
That message normally refers to the source platform, not your YT3 customer account. The post may be private, age-restricted, region-limited, or protected by a platform verification screen. Try another fully public post and confirm it opens while signed out.
Why is there sound but no picture?
Some platforms publish audio and video as separate streams. YT3 requests a merged MP4 in video mode, but availability depends on the source and processing service. Make sure Video is selected and try 1080p or 720p rather than an unavailable resolution.
Does 8K improve every video?
No. A quality selection asks for the best source up to that limit. A 720p upload remains 720p; selecting 4K or 8K cannot add genuine detail. High-resolution options may also require Premium access.
Can YT3 download private media?
No. YT3 is designed for public links and does not promise access to private accounts, paid libraries, deleted posts, or media that requires another person’s credentials.
