Permission comes first
A public post is viewable by the public, but it may still be protected by copyright. Before downloading, confirm that you created the media, received permission from the rights holder, or are otherwise allowed to make a copy under the laws that apply to you.
Respect creators and platforms
Do not remove attribution, repost another creator’s work as your own, sell unauthorized copies, or use YT3 to avoid subscriptions and access controls. Check the source platform’s terms because permitted uses differ between services and countries.
Personal and licensed material
Common legitimate uses include backing up your own uploads, saving a file supplied under a suitable licence, downloading public-domain material, or preserving content where the creator has expressly enabled reuse. Keep evidence of permission when the intended use is commercial.
Reporting concerns
If you believe material connected with YT3 infringes your rights, contact the site support channel with the original URL, a description of the protected work, your relationship to the work, and reliable contact information so the concern can be reviewed.
